Care instructions: Wood is a living material and will react to changes of humidity and temperature in your home. Subtle expansion, warping or hairline cracks are a natural reaction and are considered part of its charming character. To minimise the changes to the timber, take care to not place it close to sources of intense heat, such as radiators.
After use, wipe down with a lightly damp non-abrasive cloth then using a dry cloth immediately remove any residual moisture. Avoid the use of chemical cleaners and polish containing silicone as these may alter the finish over time. Instead we suggest using Osmo Spray Cleaner, which will both clean and moisturise the timber.
To protect the finish from scratches, staining and marking we recommend cleaning spillages as quickly as possible.
So that the finish remains conditioned and as resilient as possible to staining, it may require periodic re-oiling every 6 to 12 months. We recommend Osmo Polyx Oil Matt. Please note, this may darken the tone of the wood slightly.

The bench was delivered on the day it was expected and the couriers unpacked it for us. I'm glad to say there was no damage and the bench was as displayed in Novembers Country Living magazine and on your website. Its exactly what we wanted and will be a great finishing touch in our hall.
We are already contemplating further purchases in the future and hope you will be able to add more similar quality items to your range.
I do have one question while writing, we are advised to clean the bench with Osmo spray cleaner and treat with Osmo polyx matt oil. Is the polyx matt oil in fact a hard wax or is it a fluid?

In regards to your question about the Osmo Polyx Matt Oil, it is actually a hardwax oil finish, not a fluid oil. The wax component allows it to cure to a durable, matte finish that enhances the natural beauty of the oak while providing excellent protection.
